Hi – it’s Mimi (and Jingles). After almost 30 years in Minnesota, I decided to do an AmeriExit . Life’s too short to not see more of the world so in June 2026, I sold my furniture and car and traded it for a suitcase of scuba gear and a backpack. For how long? Where? I don’t know quite yet.
This blog is for family and friends. It’s not a glossy travel brochure. It’s a look at discovery – finding a USD$225/month bungalow on a small island, eating street food, establishing a daily routine, travel logistics and of course, the inevitable mishaps.
